The Transportation Coordinator is a 12-month position and will report directly to the Director of Security and Transportation.

 

Essential Functions:

 

  • Planning and Coordination: Develop and manage transportation schedules and routes. 
  • Supervision: Manage and train transportation staff, including drivers and aides. 
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and safety policies. 
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with carriers, suppliers, and other stakeholders. 
  • Problem Solving: Investigate and resolve any transportation-related issues, such as delays or damages. 
  • Safety Audits: Conduct safety audits to ensure compliance with safety regulations. 
  • Training: Organize training sessions for transportation staff to improve their skills and knowledge. 
  • Manage relationships with local school districts during the spring/summer to ensure enrollments for the school year.
  • Manage day-to-day operations and changes that might occur with students and families utilizing bus services
  • Manage day trips occurring throughout the school
  • Responsibility for managing the ID card process including, but not limited to, taking pictures and producing ID cards for faculty, staff, and students, managing ordering of supplies, and maintaining databases.
